Tineco vs Dreame: which wet-dry floor cleaner should you buy?
Quick answer: Around $500, the Tineco FLOOR ONE S7 Stretch and Dreame T16 AE are close: Tineco runs longer (50 vs 35 minutes) with a bigger dirty tank, Dreame is slimmer with hotter drying. Buy the Tineco for big homes and the Dreame for low furniture, or the Dreame H15 Pro if you want a robotic corner arm. Under $350, Tineco's iFLOOR U5 Stretch is the better cleaner; Dreame's Floor X100 is half the weight.

How we picked: We compared these 8 picks on tanks, run time, self-cleaning and price, using maker specs, Australian retailer prices and owner reports. We haven't tested them hands-on yet, and maker claims are labelled as theirs. Commission never changes the order. Full method.
Tineco and Dreame both sell a wide range of cordless wet-dry floor cleaners in Australia. Both sell through The Good Guys, their own Australian stores and their own Amazon Australia stores, and both list most models at a sale price far below a “regular” price. This guide compares them model against model at each price. Prices are from The Good Guys, JB Hi-Fi, Tineco and Dreame on 18 October 2026; for models also on Amazon Australia, check the current price on Amazon. We compared maker specifications and retailer listings; we have not run these machines side by side.

About $500: S7 Stretch vs T16 AE vs H15 Pro
This is the busiest price band for both brands, and it is close.
The Tineco FLOOR ONE S7 Stretch has a 1 L clean tank and a 0.72 L dirty tank, a 50 minute rating, 85°C hot-air drying and edge cleaning on both sides. Tineco lists it at 4.5 kg. It was $497 at The Good Guys and $499 at Tineco.
The Dreame T16 AE matches the 1 L clean tank but has a smaller dirty tank (500 mL standing, 300 mL flat) and a shorter rating (35 minutes, quoted in Quiet mode). In return it is 9.85 cm high, dries at 95°C and claims 25,000 Pa. It weighs 4.7 kg. It was $497 at The Good Guys and $499 at Dreame.
The Dreame H15 Pro costs the same at Dreame’s store ($499) but is a different machine: a robotic arm for front corners, three-sided edges, a 100°C brush wash and 90°C drying, and a 60 minute rating. It weighs 5.8 kg and its tanks are 780 mL and 700 mL.
Our call: the Tineco for larger homes, because it runs longer and holds more dirty water; the T16 AE if you have low beds and sofas; the H15 Pro if corners and edges are what annoy you most and you do not mind the weight.
Under $350: iFLOOR U5 Stretch vs Floor X100
The Tineco iFLOOR U5 Stretch ($348 at The Good Guys, $349 at JB Hi-Fi and Tineco) is a real wet-dry vacuum: 1 L and 0.8 L tanks, a 40 minute rating, a lay-flat body and a two-year warranty. It rinses its roller but lists no heated drying, and it cleans one edge.
The Dreame Floor X100 ($299) is lighter at 2.3 kg and rated for 45 minutes of wet mopping, but its tanks are small (540 mL and 280 mL), Dreame lists a 25 W rated power and a 100 mL dustbin, and The Good Guys lists a one-year warranty. It is closer to a powered mop. For most homes the Tineco is the better cleaner; buy the Dreame if lifting a 4 kg machine is the problem.
On Amazon
Both brands sell through their own Amazon Australia stores, which matters for returns and warranty. When we checked, Tineco’s store had the FLOOR ONE S7 FlashDry and S6 Stretch, Dreame’s had the G12 Pro Flex, and Amazon itself was selling the H15 Pro. Of those, the H15 Pro is the strongest machine. The S7 FlashDry is the Tineco to choose there: self-propelled, 70°C drying, but no lay-flat body.
With steam
The Tineco FLOOR ONE S9 Artist Steam cleans on three sides, runs its roller backwards for stuck-on marks (ReverseScrub), dries at 85°C and is rated for up to 75 minutes, at 5.5 kg. It was $994 at The Good Guys, marked clearance. The Dreame H16 Pro Steam adds 90°C hot-water mopping and two robotic edge arms, at 6.8 kg and $799 at Dreame. Dreame advertises 200°C steam; its own footnote says that is the heater, with up to 99°C at the outlets, and its run time falls to 18 minutes in steam mode. Steam is for sealed floors only; see the steam mop guide for which floors to keep it off.
Spares and running costs
Tineco sells an $89.90 kit of two brush rollers and two HEPA filters for its Stretch and S9 Artist models, and Tineco’s 1 L cleaning solution was $39 at The Good Guys. Dreame’s Australian store did not show a matching kit for these models when we searched, so ask the retailer about spare rollers before you buy.
Other brands worth a look
Bissell’s CrossWaves, Roborock’s F25 range and Kärcher’s roller cleaners are in the hard floor cleaner guide, and pet owners should read the pets guide.
The one trap
Comparing against the “regular” price. Both brands’ own stores show big discounts: Tineco listed the S7 Stretch at $499 against $999, and Dreame listed the T16 AE at $499 against $899 and the H15 Pro at $499 against $1,099. The Good Guys was selling the same S7 Stretch and T16 AE for $497. Compare today’s price across two or three retailers, not the size of the discount.

Frequently asked questions
Is Tineco or Dreame better?
Neither wins outright. At the same $497 to $499, Tineco's S7 Stretch has the longer rated run time (50 vs 35 minutes) and the larger dirty tank (0.72 L vs 0.5 L), while Dreame's T16 AE is slimmer (9.85 cm) and dries hotter (95°C vs 85°C). Dreame's H15 Pro adds a robotic corner arm at the same price.
Which has the better warranty, Tineco or Dreame?
Tineco states two years on its wet-dry vacuums plus a 30-day money-back offer on its own store. Dreame's store says 'local manufacturer's warranty and lifetime support' and an up to 30-day refund or return policy; The Good Guys lists two years on the T16 AE and one year on the Floor X100.
Where can I buy Tineco and Dreame in Australia?
Both sell direct and through their own Amazon Australia stores. The Good Guys stocks both; JB Hi-Fi stocks Tineco.
Are Dreame's suction figures higher than Tineco's?
On paper: 25,000 Pa for the T16 AE against 21,000 Pa (The Good Guys' figure) for the S7 Stretch. Makers measure suction their own way, so treat pascals as a rough guide, not a contest.
